Curriculum Redesign

This course accompanies an Olin faculty and staff effort to redesign the curriculum to create a future-oriented education that realizes Olin’s Strategic Plan. Students in this course serve as a satellite design team, working with community members to imagine, co-design, test, and refine new courses, modules, and other curricular elements. We also place Olin’s redesign in the context of broader U.S. higher education, drawing lessons on when, how, and why curricula change. Activities include interviewing, research, analysis, design, and presenting insights to Olin audiences and possibly external ones. This course is designed for students who love meeting new people, uncovering what matters to groups, designing from grounded insights, and learning deeply about higher education and engineering education. It suits those who enjoy open-ended collaboration and bring flexibility and grace as we figure things out together. [fall 2025]
