Robotics, Ethics, and Society

I am a Visiting Fellow at RAI Institute (The Robotics and AI Institute) (Cambridge, Mass.), on the Robotics, Ethics, and Society team. With colleagues at RAI, I collaborate on projects on robotics and society. We have a focus on labor, safety, and robotics. We are also doing work on aging, care, and technology in the United States, considering the potential role of robotics in eldercare.

Our paper that critically examines the concept of “Dull, Dirty, and Dangerous” proposes an actionable framework to help roboticists understand the job context for the technology they develop.
