Portfolios for Learning

Co-taught and co-designed with Dr. Jean Huang, this course is for students excited to learn about learning, help design experiences for future Olin students, and turn their own learning into something tangible they carry forward. As Olin revitalizes its educational approach, one recurring goal is helping students collect and reflect on their learning, connecting their successes (and failures!) to new contexts at Olin and beyond. Portfolios are one promising way to do this. Often digital, they curate student work across courses, projects, and experiences, and they prompt students to draw connections through reflection (AAC&U). Students study portfolios and student learning, create their own portfolios, and share insights that shape how Olin might use portfolios in the future. [fall 2026]
